WE ARE ASKING THAT NO MORE PAYMENTS BE SENT IN THE MAIL!

Just eight more days!

Due to the fact the we will be finalizing plans with YellowFin next week, we need to get a final count.

WE ARE ASKING THAT NO MORE PAYMENTS BE SENT IN THE MAIL.

Instead, please notify us via the email form of your interest in attending by Monday, March 5th. We will include you in our final total. A CASH PAYMENT of $40 per attendee will be necessary on the evening of the reunion for your admittance at the door.

At this time we have confirmation for 145 attendees. Please check this list to make sure your name appears if you are planning to attend. The top list is for those from whom we have received a payment and the bottom list is for those who are paying cash at the door.

We are very excited to see everyone and we thank you for all your support!

Several people have asked if it is too late to send in payment. Because we have had such a positive response (over 100 attendees already paid for, including 75 classmates), we are able to extend the deadline. The new deadline is next Tuesday. Please have your payments post marked by February 27. (We may be able to take a few more after that, but we need an accurate head count as soon as possible by March 1 for ordering purposes. We don’t want to run out of food!)

With a special “Thank You!” to Chris Carlton, we now have a Reunion Website up and running. The web address is http://www.carltondc.com/SPHS/

I will continue to email notices and post them on ClassMates, but we will also post all information on the website. In addition, the website includes a list of Missing Classmates that we would like EVERYONE to review and send any contact information you have to us. The email tab on the website will open an email form that will be sent to the reunion email address (sphs1986 at hotmail.com) (just click here or eliminate the spaces and put the @ symbol in instead of at before the hotmail.com). The website also includes a BLOG so we can chat with one another.

I would also like to thank everyone who has sent in their payment early. The positive response assures us we will have enough of a turnout for a successful reunion, but we would also like to be able to finalize some other details that will depend on attendance. Therefore, to help with the planning process including, and especially “entertainment options”, we ask that everyone planning on attending please forward your payment when you can. Otherwise, we may need to tap Brian Shupe to entertain us here. So, for his sake, and ours, please forward your payments as soon as you can.

Reunion Info

I hope everyone had a good Holiday. The “committee” (Carolyn Barranco Russell, Tiffany Ruppert Thomas, Todd Miller, Judy Everstine Facciolo, Jeff Jacobs, and I) has been working on finalizing plans for the reunion. The price will be $40/person. Thankfully, everyone seems to agree that CASUAL is the way to go (I dress up enough for work).

Price includes valet parking (no choice because of limited parking), heavy hors d’oeuvres, and beer, wine and sodas for the first 2 hours, followed by a cash bar. We are also working on getting a low key DJ (ever been to a wedding with an obnoxious one?). Most importantly, you will have a chance to CATCH UP WITH LONG LOST FRIENDS.

For head count purposes, and due to a 225 person limit, we need your checks by February 16th. Also, please note on the memo line of the check the name of the attendees being paid for (for the name tag) and a contact email address so we can send a payment confirmation.

We still need EVERYONE to spread the word and forward contact info for fellow classmates to sphs1986 at hotmail.com or to me through classmates.com. We are trying to build a contact list for this and future reunions.

We are also working on getting a web site together that will list lost classmates and reunion details, and we will be forwarding discounted hotel information soon.
